Dr Bilgrami is an experienced cardiologist, having held previous senior overseas appointments, he is currently working at Austin Health, with a teaching appointment at the University of Melbourne.

Having originally obtained his MBBS and postgraduate MD in India, he undertook advanced clinical cardiology training in London, an Interventional Fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide and more recently, returned to Australia as a Heart Failure Fellow at Austin Health.

He is also trained in Cardiac Imaging (Echocardiography, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI) as well as Electrophysiology (including arrhythmia management, pacemaker and ICD implantation).

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
