Cecily has a Bachelor of Nursing and a Postgraduate Diploma in critical care nursing, devoting 10 years to Emergency Nursing, before broadening her career into diabetes education. She completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and gained credentialing status with Australian Diabetes Education Association.

She has recently been awarded a Masters Degree from the University of Melbourne in Advanced Nursing Practice and is now an endorsed Nurse Practitioner. Cecily has 17 years of experience working in both public and private adult diabetes services in Melbourne.

Being a certified trainer in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring, Cecily would like to promote, support and extend the use of diabetes technology to improve glucose control in all patients with diabetes.

Cecily has special interests in pregnancy with a particular focus on improving diabetes control for women before pregnancy.

She works as a Diabetes Nurse Consultant at the Mercy Hospital for women where she enjoys supporting women with diabetes through their heigh-risk pregnancies.
